Abstract

The Indian financial sector has a significant expansion in terms of number of financial instruments which have been promoted to cater the needs of growing savings and expanding capital market in India. Close-ended mutual funds are managed investment funds that deploy the money of their investors in a wide variety of stocks, shares and money market instruments. The close-ended mutual funds however face increasing challenges in the emerging financial market due to the process of liberalization, deregulation and globalization of the Indian financial sector.
