‘One Belt One Road’ is a Chinese initiative to revive ancient Silk Road to increase trade and commerce and facilitate cultural and social interaction. It appears as China’s pretext of its own growth, development or a sincere effort to integrate economies of Asia and Europe, what is possible impact of ‘OBOR’upon existing world order and India’s concerns over ‘One Belt One Road’program are important concern requiring attention. Countries along ‘Belt and Road’initiative are mainly under developed and will naturally benefit from China’s opening up how China is going to reap up benefits from OBOR Initiative is also an important issue that needs to be dealt with.Even though a consensus on development over China’s Belt Road Initiative but there are several issues with neighboring states. US seems apprehensive of OBOR Initiative and rising Chinese influence. If India remains out of “CPEC-OBOR”, it can hinder its economic prosperity and loss of strategic space to China whose influence will rise due to economic cooperation with BRI nations.China’s OBOR Initiative can be helpful for participating economies only if China as well as corridor economies adopt principle of harmony, inclusiveness and tolerance.
