This study aimed to investigate the affect of involvement of parents on the conversation skills of upper primary school students, with a specific focus on gender and residential location (urban and rural) variations. Two hypotheses were tested: (i) parental involvement does not significantly affect the conversation skills of primary school male and female students, and (ii) parental involvement does not significantly affect the conversation skills of primary school students in urban and rural areas. The research was conducted in three selected schools within Ambala district, involving a sample of 140 students from the sixth and seventh grades. The study exclusively examined the impact of involvement of parents on conversation skills. The findings contribute to our understanding of the relationship between involvement of parents and the conversation skills of primary school students, providing valuable insights for educators, parents, and policymakers in enhancing effective communication abilities among young learners.
