Judicial activism recognizing gender identity of the transgender community in India

This research paper is carrying some objective to identify the challenges before transgender against body crimes and get justice with existing laws. It is starting with the introduction of the subject and some basic explanation of the medical transitions to get their gender identity. Second phase is explaining body crime against transgender which are many times remain unreported with some background (relate reasons for under reporting victims). Third phase of this research paper is mentioning some guidelines laid down by hon’ble Supreme court. Paper wraps up with some applicability of existing laws along with some rescue provisions applicable to transgender also provides some referrals available for same.
