Abstract

The Ponderomotive force is a kind of a nonlinear force which is experienced by the charged species of plasma during the laser plasma interaction process. This nonlinear phenomenon is induced by high frequency field such as generation of fields in laser radiated plasma [1]. Lasers with oscillating electric fields interact with the electrons of the plasma the electron experience a nonlinearity in laser plasma interaction, particle acceleration and wave propagation. Under this work we investigated this force by using different laser profiles in various kind of plasma conditions. Using theoretical models and simulations. We examine the effect of various plasma parameters such as plasma density, beam width, collision frequency and magnetic field on the nonlinear force. We have investigated that the ponderomotive force is change according to collision frequency so Collision of plasma species cannot be neglected during laser plasma interaction.
