Assistant Professor,
Ambedkar’s vision for the Partition of India and his pioneering contribution to the narrative surrounding it. A lesser-studied area of his political thought, Ambedkar’s ideas on Partition are an extension of his practical bent of mind to resolving communal disputes and establishing social justice in the post-colonial period. Ambedkar’s rational and analytical account of Hindu’s, Muslim’s and Sikh’s communal tensions presents a counter-narrative that balances the idealized visions of his era. He also stressed upon the necessity of partition of India and origin of Pakistan.
