Abstract

Amid rapid technological advancements in education, this research investigates how Artificial Intelligence (AI) shapes reading practices and study approaches for students in Bundelkhand University’s Department of Library and Information Science, Jhansi. AI applications now support tasks like text summarization, tailored content suggestions, and efficient research, prompting a move away from conventional print materials toward e-resources and intelligent digital tools. The study analyzes advantages, including accelerated knowledge acquisition and enhanced topic grasp, alongside drawbacks such as excessive dependence on AI, which may erode focus and limit in-depth reading. Results seek to guide faculty, learners, and academic bodies in harmonizing AI adoption with foundational learning principles, promoting sustainable progress within India’s dynamic higher education framework.
