Abstract

Six Sigma is described as a philosophy, methodology and breakthrough strategy to solve problems. Six Sigma implementation is spreading to many organizations the world over and success stories are increasing every day. Sigma is a powerful break through improvement business strategy that enables companies to use simple and powerful statistical methods to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes for achieving and sustaining operational excellence. This paper deals with the effective measures that focus on the best possible way in the process operations for eliminating the variations/defects and examines the Six sigma philosophy with the use of statistical thinking to improve business performance.
