Abstract

Agro based industry is regarded as the sunrise sector of the Indian economy in view of its large potential for growth and likely socio economic impact specifically on employment and income generation. Some estimates suggest that in developed countries, approximately 14 per cent of the total work force is engaged in agro-processing sector directly or indirectly. The poultry Industry in India has emerged as the most dynamic and rapidly expanding segment live stock economy as evident from the production level touching about 47 billion eggs and 850 million tons broilers with a compounded annual growth rate of 13% and 15% respectively. Today, India is the 3rd largest egg producer and 4th in broiler production in the world. The poultry industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the. Poultry production contributes around 1 percent to India's GDP. In this Research Paper we studied that how Poultry Based Industries are growing day by day in our country and the owners of these units are unemployed youth which is a positive sign for Indian sustainable and Inclusive Economic growth.
