Indian Library Association was found in the year 1933 and since then the stake holders of ILA have been organizing various conferences and seminars at state and national level. After having 58 years of organizing conferences and seminars ILA decided for hosting its 1st International Conference on its 59th years of inception and the same was organized at Indian Institute of Technology-Roorkee (IITR) on Managing Libraries in the Changing Information World: From Surviving to Thriving’ From February 22–24, 2014. Considering the increasing influence of ILA year by year the authors decided to conduct a study of satisfaction and performance level of the first ILA International Conference. A questionnaire set with the purpose to evaluate the seven parameters was distributed amongst the delegates 150 in numbers. Seventy filled samples were returned by the same numbers of respondents and this study attempts to analyze the responses and reached to a logical inference with an objective to coin certain invaluable suggestions and recommendations to improvise further ILA International Conference(s).
