Unlike a traditional Mathematics learner, engineering students need different kind of Mathematics aiming at applic ations oriented approach catering to the requirements of industry and society enabling them thinking critically and creatively. Keeping in view the scenario of innovations and technical advancements, only traditional classroom teaching and theoretical learning is inadequate to accomplish these requirements. So to propagate the productive and innovative learning, there is a requirement of updating and reviewing the mathematical pedagogy. This paper endeavours to present the practical aspects and approaches that can be adopted as a part of Mathematics teaching apart from theoretical classroom learning. In this paper a Mathematical pedagogy triggering the application oriented approach is emphasized by presenting some codicil teaching and learning updations like Problem Based Collaborative Learning (PBCL), Case Study Based Learning(CSBL), Integrated Project Based Learning (IPBL) and Computer Based Learning (CBL). Besides the teaching perspective, teachers’ perspective is also analysed stressing upon the teacher's training programs and a collaborative effort of engineering and Mathematics staff for more receptive Maths course curriculum.
