Since a long time ago, alienation has haunted the mankind. Alienation being a dreadful form of estrangement produces enormous sufferings. However, over the course of time, the construct has lost its charm but the hardships caused do not seem to end. Organisations striving to achieve their goals in a volatile business and political environment cannot afford to have an alienated workforce. But a leader has the ability to assuage alienation in the workforce. The Bhagavad Gita is an invaluable sermon delivered by Krishna to Arjuna midst battlefield. It is a philosophical underpinning, which is being considered and studied to seek successful solutions to problems faced by organisations in changing times. The most revered of the Hindu manuscripts is fraught with leadership precepts. The eighteen sutras offer succor to a leader-in-the-making looking for a guiding light to evolve into a leader with divine wisdom. The paper aims to focus on leadership teachings from the scared text to help organisations to come grips with alienation and offers valuable insights into the precepts that can be grasped from the holy narrative. The study of the Bhagavad Gita expounds upon the following traits of a leader-A leader provides a disparate outlook to the workforce in distress that serves as a glimmer of hope; he works righteously and embraces the workforce; he connects to real Self, to conquer the binary musings of an unruly mind; he respects the heterogeneity and values humanity; he addresses the human suffering to escape the workforce from the fetters of alienation; he leads with an open and conscious mind to uphold the spirit of the organisation; and he makes love apparent through his selfless action and works to attain divine wisdom. These researched precepts from the Bhagavad Gita are irreplaceable to develop a leadership that can be a panacea for alienation.
