Present research study has been designed to observe the influence of Online Social Media (OSM) on Academic Performance of B. Ed. students of Haryana in the subject of Computer/Information Technology. The part of the research being reported herein was centered on five research questions and five corresponding research hypotheses. Random sampling has been used to select a sample of 400 students. A test comprising 50 multiple choice questions was served to collect data from the participants. Research hypotheses were tested and accepted or rejected based on the “t” value of student's t-test. Research findings have shown a significant difference in the academic achievement between the users and non-users of OSM in a computer/information technology test. At the same time no significant difference has been reported in the academic achievement between OSM user groups created on the bases of gender, area of residence, academic qualification, and stream of study.
