The world order started to take a unique shape with the dawn of the 21st century. The current constellation of global forces and alliances is much less clear than it was in the two previous stages of the post war international system. Scholars of international relations are not unanimous and are still in the flux about its clear shape even after the one and half decade of 21st century is over. Accordingly, they have defined this changed global order in different ways. The present world seems neither completely unipolar nor multipolar. Rather, growing political and economic interdependence is witnessing a non polar world which is more akin to the prevailing realities. The present paper is a moderate attempt in the direction of searching the current power distribution in the world and to conceptualize it in a logical way.
