Abstract

Job satisfaction of employees is an area which has been continuously explored as it plays a major factor in making them more committed and involved towards their organization. Employees can be more productive and effective if they are been provide an environment to grow and develop. In this connection, employee engagement can be a vital element in enhancing their performance. Engaged employee contribute more significantly towards their goals and objectives and also help in realizing organizational aspirations and expectations. Thus it is the job of the human resource department to ensure that the organization gets the best personal and then devise the ways to retain them by properly engaging them. The present paper will make an attempt to study the relationship between the job satisfaction and employee engagement. Also the present study will examine the effect of employee engagement on job satisfaction of employees in sample selected banks. Findings of the study indicated that employee engagement has a relationship with their job satisfaction. Moreover, the study also highlights that employee engagement has an influence on their job satisfaction. The study suggests that organizations need to engage their employee so that they can be more productive in attaining organization growth and development.
