The paper is consisting critical discussion on language teaching learning activities in the schools as it is expected to be done based on the aims of language education especially English language. But on the contrary the field practices are not based on the aims of language education. Therefore, it needs to rethink, revisit of the practicality of the field. The paper will also talk about the multilingual context and teaching learning activities in that context with the analyses of aims of Language Education as articulated in the NCF position paper on teaching English.
