World affairs after COVID-19: Opportunities and possibilities for India

Abstract

In the 21st century, no one thought that there would be such a crisis in the world that close proximity of one human being would cause the death of another human being. Corona virus, as we all know, has taken the form of pandemic today. Starting from the Chinese city of Wuhan, this pandemic has engulfed the entire world. So far, no effective treatment has been possible since the monster opened its mouth in December 2019. Scientists and medical professionals are working hard to find a cure for this pandemic. But no concrete success has been achieved so far, because this virus is constantly changing its form. It seems that it is a powerful bacterium which reaches into human body and increases its number manifold. Not only had this, due to Corona, most of the countries had to undergo a complete lockdown for several days and sealed their borders. And for the sake of life, civilians have to lock themselves in their houses. As a result, it has a very bad effect on the economic situation causing unemployment and most sufferers shall be poor and labour class of the different societies. Globalization suffered a major setback and major countries are playing blame game against each other. The US considers it a biological weapon of China that was accidentally or intentionally left out from a virology lab in China. Now a days, new changes are constantly felt in world politics and getting shape for a new world order. After cold war, again world is ready to be divided into two blocks -this time China on one side and US on the other. It remains to be seen how the world handles its situation to come out of this crisis and once again human welfare based global economy establish new horizons. In this scenario, present paper shall be an attempt to evaluate changing order of world affairs and to find out opportunity and possibilities for India.
