Effect of covid-19 on global environment

The outbreak and spread of the pandemic COVID-19 has disrupted and thrown the world into a kind of impasse. The swift pace of the world activities have come to a halt. The world that was active and operative has suddenly ceased working. All the machineries man was proud of and dependent upon are lying helpless. The progress that man has made in every walk of life has proved meaningless. A very tiny non-living entity has questioned the very identity of humankind. The deadly virus which is invisible by naked eyes has just put the whole world in a very helpless situation. Man is struggling hard to save his life from this invisible foe and is under constant fear and anxiety. The virus has questioned our preparedness and progress in the field of medical sciences. However, it is not for the first time in the history of mankind that a pandemic has forced man to think about the whole scenario he is going through. Earlier also, there have been pandemics which claimed millions of lives throughout the world. This COVID-19, like other pandemics in the history, has posed a question: What is the cause of this difficult time and the possible way out? The present paper would focus upon the effect of COVID19 on global environment.
