This study assessed the relationship between environment of school and students’ participation in sports in Kwara State. The variables investigated were: sport facilities, peer group and quality of sports personnel. Descriptive survey method was used for the study. Simple technique was utilized to selected one hundred and fifty respondents (150) were selected through systematic random sampling techniques. Three hypotheses were tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) all at 0.05 alpha level. The findings revealed that: Sports facilities and quality of sports personnel significant had relationship with students’ participation in sports in Kwara State, Nigeria. It was implied that sports facilities, peer group, qualified personnel are important drivers of sports participation. It was thus recommended that. Knowledgeable and qualified sports personnel should be assigned to schools in order to motivate students to participate actively in sports while peer interest should be considered while planning school sports programme.
