Abstract

Yoga is an ancient system of exercise from India. The term “yoga” and the English word “yoke” are derived from Samskrit root “yuj” which means union. Yoga is a psycho-somatic-spiritual discipline for achieving union and harmony between our mind, body and soul and the ultimate union of our individual consciousness with the Universal consciousness. In simple word Yoga is truly a science of disciplining human personality. It concerns the whole field of personality including its various aspects such as physical, physiological, emotional, behavioral, environmental and social aspects. This article will highlight the yoga for body, mind and soul.
