Abstract

Existence of a unique classical nonnegative solution is established and suffcient conditions for the solution that exists locally or blows up in fnite time are obtained for the degenerate and singular parabolic system

are constants, f, g are given functions. Furthermore, under certain conditions it is proved that the blow-up set of the solution is the entire interval [0,a]. These extend a recent work of Zhou, Mu and Li, which considered the particular systems with localized sources.
