Abstract

Natural latex from rubber-tree is allergenic with significant cumulative latex exposure, as seen in healthcare providers and workers in rubber industry and also patients who had undergone surgeries early in life1. Symptoms of latex allergy may progress rapidly and unpredictably to anaphylaxis. Diagnosis is usually made initially by history. A case report of atypical contact dermatitis type of latex allergy is described in this case report.
