Abstract

This paper has examined how to make supply of inputs and provide services to farmers under the following heads: (i) Agricultural marketing information network (AGMARKNET), (ii) Service delivery by dairy cooperatives, (iii) The program — Krishak Vigyan Manch, (iv) Miss-call to agro service centre, and (v) Service firms. The paper has highlighted that under the program Krishak Vigyan Manch farmers interact with the subject matter specialists and discuss their problems face to face. The Agro service centre provides services to farmers through mobile phone. The paper has suggested that the services related to market information, quality control, finance, credit, insurance, etc. should form a part of policy framework.
