Abstract

The study carried out in Trichy distrct in 2011–2012, has found the extent of integrated farming being practised, cropping pattern and crop yield, livestock income, utilization of farm wastages, and problems of integrated farming in the study area. The study has found that paddy and banana are main crops but income is more from banana than paddy. The livestock is an important asset and it supplements farmers’ income. The study has also identified the major problems being faced by the farmers in the study area.
