The present paper has suggested a model to link all stakeholders in agribusiness extension through the following means: (i) scientists working at national institutes and agricultural universities may be encouraged to take up consultancy assignments with agribusiness companies; (ii) technologies developed at public research institutions can be marketed to certified consultancy firms, who can find the market and sell to the clients; (iii) government may provide training to agricultural graduates in agricultural consultancy. These certified consultants can form a professional body at national level. The study has suggested that all the agri-business companies — seed fertilizer, pesticide, agri-machinery, agro-processing — can together carryout extension activity, ultimately benefiting themselves in saving cost and farmers by providing a package.
