As the share of agriculture to country's GDP is declining steeply year after year, the growing role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in agricultural development of the country has led to the evolution of several websites. The present study is focused on a newly launched website, www.krishikannada.com, which is a bilingual portal for the Karnataka agriculture. Launched with no-profit initiative in 2013, this website has different user-friendly modules to achieve the goal of sharing agricultural information. The website has Information search, e-Market network, Question and answer, Photo and video gallery, Farmers directory, Scientists directory, Traditional food, Chatting room, Identification of pests and diseases, etc. to service farmers of the state. The information provided on this webstite is amenable for validation. It was found that in a span of one year, this website was visited by 74103 visitors. It can be more effective and useful to farmers if it provides space for online chatting to farmers, agri-scientists, students and researchers.
