In this study, Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) intervention model has been used to quantify the impact of drought and flood on yield of kharif-rice and production during the period 1974–75 to 2010–11. The study has revealed that the impact of drought and flood was significant at all-India level in the years 1983, 1987 and 1988. In addition, the study has revealed that ARIMA intervention is superior to ARIMA model when there is significant.
