Abstract

The Mid-Day Meal scheme is one of one of the flagship schemes of the government of India that aims at attracting children to attend school through provision of nutritious food free of cost. Present investigation is a case study related to the attendance of students in the primary and middle classes. We find that due to the midday meal scheme, the attendance of children has improved, which is a significant step towards improving education, food and nutrition security.
