The study was conducted in Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh on value chain development of guava with 20 producers, 15 processors and 5 intermediaries. It was found that the cost incurred (Rs 10467.11/q) and net return (Rs 5732.88/q) were more in the processing unit than that in production unit but both the units were economically feasible based on break-even point at yield and price as well as benefit cost ratio. Marketing efficiency and share in consumers’ price was more in channel ‘Producer-Retailer-Consumer’ among producer, and channel Producer Processor-Consumer among processors. The driving forces (111.4) were significantly higher than restraining forces (71.53) at probability.001 (Z=-4.52) indicating promoting entrepreneurial environment for value chain development of guava at Allahabad.
