With the completion of 15-year mission, the world is now headed towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of whom ‘No Poverty’ is the foremost. In this paper, the extent and nature of inter-district disparities in labour productivity levels of selected agriculture crops in Rajasthan from 2000 to 2015 have been analysed. The difference between the rise in cost of input and rise in minimum support prices has been analysed. The result shows that in order to increase returns on investment to the farming sector and thereby reducing poverty, there is a pressing need to either cut down the cost of production or increase the MSP. There is also a pressing need to encourage decentralized procurement and involve private sector and banks in procurement so that price differentials at district level in the state can be minimized.
