Abstract

India's floriculture industry is experiencing rapid growth, but its share of the global floriculture industry is one of the lowest because of micro-level constraints. The National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) funded a study to analyse the value chain of flowers for domestic and export markets and recommend interventions in the production, post-harvest and marketing aspects of the marigold value chain. This paper focuses on the impact of implementing the NAIP on technology adoption by marigold growers, and the results show that it has significantly improved awareness; knowledge and adoption of precision technology; and average yield.
