This study analyses the variations in the arrival and prices of major crops in Assam from 2008 to 2017. The secondary data on market arrivals and wholesale prices of major crops were analysed to compute the growth rate, coefficient of variation and relationships. The arrivals of all the crops vary by season; and the mean arrival was higher during the harvesting months. Prices can be forecast to help farmers sell their produce at a desirable price in the future, and proper information on price and market behaviour will help them make decisions and minimize their marketing risk.
