Abstract

Indian mangoes enjoy a unique cachet in international markets. Alphonso is India's leading export cultivar, followed by Kesar, Totapuri and Badami. Mango exports have grown from 41, 280 MT in 2013–14 to 52, 760 MT in 2016–17 and 49, 180 MT worth Rs. 382.34 crore in 2017–18. This study shows that annually from 1990 to 2017, the area under cultivation increased 3.41% and production 2.95%.
