This study discusses the success factors and growth challenges of farmer producer companies (FPCs) in India and proposes key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring their performance. We identified 73 KPIs from a survey of the literature, then shortlisted 28 KPIs and tested these with four FPCs in Madhya Pradesh in 2018. The proposed KPIs would help FPCs improve operations performance and benefit farmer-members.
