In Punjab, the farm and non-farm sectors have developed manifold, and migrants from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan engage in industrial activities there. It is important to study the migration trends and the socio-economic profile of migrants and their families. This study, based on primary and secondary data sources, analyses the impact of rural-urban migration on the standard of living of migrants to Punjab.
