A study was conducted to determine the aerodynamic properties of three varieties of wheat viz. PBW-138, PDW-215 and WH-542 in the moisture content range 0/8.2–25.4 per cent (w.b.). The aerodynamic properties studied include terminal velocity, drag coefficient, Reynold's number and resistance co-efficient. The drag co-efficient and resistance co-efficient decreased with increase in terminal velocity and increased with moisture content. The Reynolds number increased with increase in both terminal velocity and moisture content. All these properties were observed to have linear relationship with moisture content. The experimental separation velocity range was found to be 9.6–10.10, 9.5–10.3 and 9.35–9.85 m/sec for PBW-138, PDW-215 and WH-542 varieties of wheat, respectively. The varieties having small grains (WH-542) were found to have more terminal velocity than large sized grains like PBW-138 and PDW-215.
