Solving retting problems of jute, kenaf and mesta fibre

Jute, Kenafand Mesta are important fibre crops used in manufacture of gunny bags, hessians, carpets, carpet backings, blankets and decorative handicrafts. This papers discusses the problems associated with retting of these crops and suggests solutions for overcoming environmental problems and management of retting wastes and by-products.
