An experiment was conducted in a semicylindrical greenhouse under composite climate of Udaipur (Rajasthan). The total cost of construction of 40m2 greenhouse was Rs. 9575 The cost of UV stabilized glazing was Rs. 1620, is required to be replaced every five year. Three economic indicators namely net present worth (NPW), benefit cost ratio and payback period were used. Net present worth (NPW) of investment made on greenhouse when Aswagandha (withania somnifera) crop is grown inside the greenhouse is Rs. 45337.67 whereas it is Rs. 5342.14 for the crop grown outside the greenhouse. The benefit cost ratios for inside and outside were 2.82 and 1.45 respectively. The payback period for cultivation under greenhouse was 4 years.
