A study was conducted in Samastipur district of Bihar state to as certain the trend in economic analysis of installed biogas plants of vivid capacity. Two blocks namely Pusa block and Kalyanpur block were selected. Total 50 biogas plants were taken on the basis of density. Out of 50 biogas plants, only 17 were in working condition for which economic analysis was carried out. Result of the survey revealed that economically different sizes of biogas plants like 2 cu.m, 3 cu.m and 4-cu.m were quite beneficial in the study area. On an average, the whole initial investment could be recovered in about 3 years. The annual income will be Rs 2182.75, Rs 2866.00 and Rs 3715.75 from 2 cu.m, 3 cu.m and 4 cu.m biogas plants, respectively.
