A tractor drawn cotton stalk puller-cum-chipper was designed and developed. Cotton stalk uprooting and cotton stalk cutting forces were measured using testrigs. The tractor operated cotton stalk puller consisted of mould board plough for uprooting the cotton stalk, stalk lifting, conveying and chipping mechanisms and chipped cotton stalk collection box. The powerto drive the different mechanisms of machine was supplied through tractor PTO shaft. The through put capacity of the machine was calculated to be 0.5 t/ha.
