Abstract

A techno-economic survey was conducted to study the status of plant protection equipment used in the orchards of Maharashtra, The study revealed that continous spray type equipment should be developed for spraying in grape, pomegranate and sweet lime. The spraying system should have provision to adjust for spraying on individual plants of mango, sapota and papaya. Protective devices are necessary for spraying chemicals in orchards.
