Agricultural Development in most areas in this region has made a phenomenal increase in the agricultural productivity ranging from 2 to 4 fold. This has been contributed largely by the adoption of HYV of seeds, higher and balanced dosage of chemicals, adequate water, availability of more powerand energy perunitarea and a large number of policy interventions such as MSP, provision of rural roads, agricultural markets, rural electrification, timely availability of required inputs and scientific crop management.
