People affected by the tsunami are in a state of shock. After the disaster, the condition of people and place are horrible. Restoration and rehabilitation has become a continuous process. While providing food and shelter could give immediate relief, but to ensure long-term gain, establishment of agricultural based industries would be imperative. There are several types of feasible agro processing industries, which may be suitable for tsunami hit areas in particular and coastal areas of the country in general. There are several financial institution/foreign bodies/NGO's/governmental departments, which encourage such activity under tsunami hit areas for restoration and rehabilitation.
