In the present paper we obtain fixed point theorems in a fuzzy metric space by formulating and employing an (ε, δ) contractive condition. Our results give proper generalizations of recent results due to Chugh and Kumar [5] and Vasuki [18], fuzzify several well known fixed point theorems, and initiate the application of (ε, δ) technique for investigating fixed points of mappings in fuzzy metric spaces.
