Abstract

Tissue culture has become efficient means, for rapid multiplication, diseases free clones and resistant clones. Nowaday's use of somaclonal variation through tissue is being used for the crop improvement, because tissue culture generates wide range of variation in plant species which can be incorporated in plant breeding programs. The present article reflects the importance of somaclonal variation with the evidence of various reports and also the importance, uses in sugarcane through tissue culture.
