Abstract

An experiment was carried out for two years (2016-17 and 2017-18) in randomized block design at Cotton Research Station, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, Gujarat (India) to evaluate the bio-efficacy of insecticides against major sucking pests in Bt cotton. The results showed that the application of flonicamid 50 WG 0.02% (4 g 10 L-1 water, 100 g a.i./ha) or diafenthiuron 50 WP 0.06% (12 g 10 L-1 water, 300 g a.i./ha) or dinotefuran 20 SG 0.008% (4 g 10 L-1 water, 40 g a.i./ha) at iniciation of pest population followed by two application at an interval of 15 days found to be most effective and economical management of sucking pests viz; jassids, aphid, thrips and whitefly in Bt cotton.
