Abstract

Presented study evaluated for of 46germplasm lines cucumber, Variation and correlation coefficients among fruit yield, yield attributes and quality parameters. Mean sum of squares due to genotypes were highly significant for all the traits studied. The yield attributes among these genotypes varied from genotype to genotype being governed by different genetic mechanism. Fruit yield q/ha, fruit length, fruits/vine and vine length showed the moderate estimates of The protein banding pattern of 46germplasm lines with 2 checks i.e. Pointsette and Pant Khira-1 in terms of presence and absence of different bands are presented in this table 4.9.1, 4.9.2, 4.9.3 and 4.9.4. Among 15 bands maximum number of bands were observed in PCUC-193 (9 bands), PCPGR- 6762 (8bands), PCPGR-7013 (8bands) and PCPGR-7795 (8bands) followed by PCUC-199 (7 bands), Similarly, total soluble solids showed positive and significant correlation with fruit yield, harvest index and dry matter content of the fruits thus, these characters can be improved simultaneouslyfor protein content seems to be different and further would be used to enhancement of nutritional quality of cucumber.
