Stem and root rot disease isa great threat for production of Sesame. The use of synthetic fungicides to manage stem and root rot disease in sesamepose serious risks to human health and safety; and now a day’s trend shifting towards healthy, safe and sound eco-friendly control of plant disease. The main objective of the present study was to assess the efficacy of four phytoextracts and four bio agents against the pathogen of Macrophomina phaseolina causing stem and root rot of sesameat Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Jodhpur in 2020-21. The results revealed that, garlic clove extract (77.91%) was found effective inhibiting mycelial growth followed byNSKE (62.02%) andAak (52.16%) and least inhibition was observed in Tulsi (33.04%) at 10% concentration. In case of bio-agents, T. harzianum was most effective and inhibited mycelial growthby 74.92% followed by T. Viride (67.81%) and Pseudomonas fluorescens (54.95%) after 7 days of incubation. Bacillus subtilis showed minimum per cent mycelial growth inhibition (48.99%).
