Abstract

Field trial was conducted to estimate the residue of bispyribac sodium 10% SC in transplanted rice var. CO50 and post-harvest soil during Rabi, 2019 at wet land farm, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The treatments constituted of the test chemical bispyribac sodium 10% SC at two doses 20 and 40 g a.i. ha-1 along with untreated control. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design with three replications. Rice grain, straw, husk and soil samples were collected at the time of harvest and analysed for bispyribac sodium residues by a validated HPLC method with the minimum detectable concentration of 0.01 ppm. The results revealed that bispyribac sodium residues were below the detection limit in grain, straw, husk and soil at harvest.
