Survey of weeds growing near Zea mays fields in western and central Uttar Pradesh

Abstract

Field surveys were made during 2012–14 in various parts of western and central Uttar Pradesh to find out the incidence of phytoplasma disease on weeds growing near maize fields. Weeds like cynodon, ageratum, cannabis, Diacanthium, oplimanus were found with symptoms of phytoplasma. Incidences of the disease ranged from 1 to 32% on weeds at different places.
